Property/Bedroom Eligibility

The Housing Allocation Scheme 2020 outlines the maximum number of bedrooms that applicants are eligible to bid for, which is determined by the size of their household.  Where a property has two living rooms and one can reasonably be used as a bedroom the landlord may advertise this as a bedroom.

Housing Associations as landlords will provide the details of the bedroom size and the maximum persons permitted to live in any one property on the advert.  Where they are happy for the property to be under occupied, they will permit those with less household members to bid, but the adverts will provide details of this.

PLEASE NOTE: THAT UNLESS THE HOUSING ASSOCIATION HAVE INDICATED AT THE POINT OF ADVERTISING THAT THIS IS PERMITTED, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLACE A BID IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA.
